Make sure you make the most out of your visit to the fair. Here are some tips to help you:
- Have a few simple questions prepared in advance to help introduce yourself to the representatives at the table and to show your interest and motivation. The fair is informal, but the right approach will help you make the right impact and you will achieve more from your discussions.
- Don't be afraid to shake hands and tell exhibitors your name. Likewise, do ask them theirs and their role at the particular institution – it shows you are interested and helps break the ice.
- Before leaving a table, make a note of the name of the person to whom you have been speaking. It will be useful if you want to follow up the contact later on.
- Visit the postgradasia Virtual Fair first! Getting some information about the exhibitors before meeting them will enable you to ask the right questions when you finally meet the face-to-face.
